Multiplication Poke Cards (with FREE download!)

My youngest son is just starting to memorize his multiplication facts. Some teachers don't require memorization but I know how much it helps a child in higher math if they can recall the facts quickly and accurately. My oldest three still practice multiplication every week! I made these "Poke Cards" to help them all practice together. (Continue reading for the download)

I print the cards two-sided on cardstock. I laminate them so they will last through the years and then poke holes next to the multiplication facts. Two students sit across from each other - one looking at the multiplication fact, the other looking at the answers. The student on the backside of the card will choose a hole and "poke" a pencil through it. The student on the front reads the fact and answers it aloud. If the answer is correct, the student on the back will choose a new hole and continue through the rest of the card. If the answer is incorrect, they should call out the correct answer before moving on. Students can switch roles after the card is complete.

This is a picture of my youngest demonstrating how to poke the pencil through. The silly smile is because he wants everyone to know that he just lost his first tooth!
